What our day looks like in Floral Park.
Children will be grouped according to grade level. One group will attend book club while the other group attends art club. The day will begin with SEL (socio-emotional learning) where the teacher poses a question and the children share their thoughts. Once the session ends, the children change their teachers. There will be a 15 minute snack break in between sessions. Both sessions will end with a recap of what the children learned. This will be facilitated by the teachers as it is encouraged for children to participate in sharing their work or their thinking for the day.
